10. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Daft Punk
Daft Punk is one of the rockingest bands to make your dance party a rocking good time. This song has a great beat, changes tempo several times, and has lots of fun layers of vocals so dancing to this one is about as much fun as you can imagine.
9. Paranoiattack - The Faint
Pretty much the best intro of any dance-related song in the history of booty-shaking.
8. The Way We Get By - Spoon
Spoon is cool. Like, way cool. And dancing to Spoon makes you feel way cool. This song is also kind of sassy, and sassy is good.
7. The View - Modest Mouse
Sort of an unexpectedly danceable song. The chorus is so catchy and depressing, who can resist?
6. Danger! High Voltage - Electric Six
Play this one early, because it's a perfect way to get everybody into the party. It's loud and fast all the way through, and has lyrics made for shouting.
5. Yeah (Pretentious Version) - LCD Soundsystem
This song is only appropriate when the party is at its peak. All the posers have been sloughed off and the energy works you into a frenzy that only this song can requite.
4. Don't Ask Me - OK Go
"Don't Ask Me" is a hip-shaking, jumping up and down, limbs flying in all directions, getting sassy and shouting good time. An absolute must.
3. Get 'Em High - Kanye West
Of course, no dance party is complete without Kanye. And marijuana.
2. Bombs Over Baghdad - Outkast
Outkast is another master of dance party tracks, and "Bombs Over Baghdad" is probably their fastest and loudest, which makes it best for a sweat-spilling, hair-wrecking, adrenaline-pumping dance party.
1. Mixed Bizness - Beck
Makin all the lesbians scream since 1999.
Listen to Alright Turn It Up Now Thursday nights at 9:00 if you want to have the most fun you've ever had in your life. Really.
