Staff Editorial: Facebook Got a Little Creepy

We don't know about you, but we really like being able to stalk people on Facebook without them knowing. It really brightens up our day. The new format just makes our job easier. We know when you end that crappy relationship (YES! We have a shot now!) or accept an invitation to an event we'll show up at just to "casually bump into you." Not to mention we can see whose wall you've been posting on. (Why haven't you been posting on ours?)

But in all seriousness, we at the Profile don't like the idea of our every step being clocked in such a public space. It's creepy. Especially the little broken hearts after you break up with your significant other. Do you really need a cartoon broken heart to match your own non-cyberspace one? It's worse than Xanga, because on that site you OFFER the information.

Bottom Line: News Feeds are better left to organizations such as the Profile: All The News That's Fit To Print (So maybe that's the New York Times). Regardless, we don't think wall posts are fit to print on your profile for anyone in your college to see. What ever happened to tastefulness and PRIVACY?

Traditional Facebooking could take up hours of wasted study time. Now, we can learn everything on one page in one minute. We need our time wasted! Even if you were to traditional Facebook post-facelift, you seem extremely disturbing. John Doe posted on Jane's wall 10 times this week. I bet he's got a crush on her! This takes all of the fun out of surfing the sea of profiles.
