Profile Staff Pulls Award Booty at State Convention
Your one and only campus newspaper received a number of honors at the Arkansas College Media Association (ACMA) annual convention this past Friday.
Recognized at the event were:

ACMA recognizes achievements in newspaper, radio, yearbook and other student media and literature. Colleges and universities from across the state gathered to be recognized at the event.
Paws on the Pavement to Benefit Animal Rescue Efforts
The Central Arkansas Rescue Effort (CARE) for Animals, Inc. is hosting its seventh annual Paws on the Pavement 5K Run/Walk and one-mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 20 at Murrary Park in Little Rock.
All proceeds of the annual event will directly benefit CARE for Animals, Inc., a non-profit animal rescue and spay/neuter organization whose purpose is to rescue dogs and cats facing euthanasia from local animal control facilities, and to decrease the number of homeless and abandoned animals through aggressive spay/neuter programs. Since its inception in 1998, CARE has rescued more than 1,864 dogs and cats and provided 5,790 free of discounted sterilizations for pets from limited-income families.
The 5K Run/Walk kicks of at 8:00 a.m. and the one-mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 9:30 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate with their owners in the one-mile Fun Run/Walk.
The pre-registration entry fee for the event is $20 per person or $36 per family if postmarked by May 13. After May 13 and the day of the event, the entry fee is $25 per person or $40 per family. Pre-registration guarantees individual entrants one t-shirt and family entrants two t-shirts and a participant race bag.
