For the past two years senior Hannah Byram has been the sole creator of the costumes used in the Miss Hendrix production. Like all Campus Kitty positions she does all this work without pay. For this year's production she has made two separate outfits for every girl. Each costume takes between three or four hours to make, since every girl has two outfits and there are thirteen girls, she has roughly spent one hundred and four hours on making the costumes. Hannah commented on her amount of effort, "It is hard work and stressful, but it is more fun than anything else". Hannah has a lot of responsibilities as costume director other than just making the costumes.

She was given a budget of 500 dollars and with that she has purchased all the cloth, thread, trim, lace, clothing accessories, hair accessories, and the art deco that will be in front of Staples on the night of Miss Hendrix. All the costumes are hand tailored to be a perfect fit for the girls. This means that Hannah had to size and measure all thirteen girls, then resize every girl after a piece of the costume was finished. In all every girl was sized about four times. Then the costumes had to be adjusted for a perfect fit. All her work paid off, Brad Howard Campus Kitty Second Vice Chair (director of Miss Hendrix) seemed very pleased with the finished product, "Hannah has an incredible talent that we are luck to use in our production. She has done the costume for the past two years and this year she made the costumes from nothing. I have sympathy for next year's director, because it is difficult and expensive to find costumes that fit all the dancers".

Hannah plans on owning her own clothing line one day and looks at her Miss Hendrix experience as, "good practice for my professional life." Every year she takes a picture of the girls in her creations and adds it to her portfolio. Normally she just makes clothing for herself and that is why she really enjoys making the costumes for the pageant. Morgan Honea, choreographer for this year's Miss Hendrix, has worn Hannah's costumes for both years. Morgan says, "I love the costumes. Hannah really understands that the dancers need the costumes to be versatile. We do really intricate things and we need the costumes to move with us while still feeling comfortable and looking good." Hannah has taken special consideration in choosing materials and the pattern of the costumes. She makes sure that everything is functional and attractive.

Hannah has put in a lot of time and dedication to the Campus Kitty cause and Miss Hendrix, but despite numerous requests, she is still denied a request for a Campus Kitty shirt.

"I understand that you can't give one to everyone who helps out with Campus Kitty, but I've been working on this since last semester," Byram said. "Basically, I just want recognition of my hard work."
