The famed Upright Citizens Brigade touring company, sponsored by the Social Committee, brought their humorous routine to Hendrix on Saturday night, and did not disappoint, with the fairly large audience laughing constantly throughout.

The improv comedy company, based out of New York City and famous for their numerous Comedy Central appearances, started out with one of the six members standing on stage attempting to make it through an introduction, but ended up being frequently interrupted by his fellow five comedians. The topic of interruptions ranged all over the place, from one member who only spoke Spanish except for "these are the only English words I know", as well as various "touching"-related bathroom humor and much else.

When they were finally done with their introductory shenanigans, they asked the audience for a topic to do their first sketch about. Someone in the audience shouted out "Dean Bailey" to uproarious laughter from the audience, and, after getting some background info on the Dean of Students, they began their sketch.

Playing on themes of attractiveness as well as discipline, they sketched a humorous scene with various students waiting to see Dean Bailey; the fact that UCB didn't actually know Dean Bailey's personality made the sketch even more hilarious and it was quite successful.

But the skit was over in a few minutes, and the actors immediately began a new skit about a lazy English student who writes a book report about his made-up nickname of "The Big Easy" for famed poet Jack Kerouac.

For the remainder of their first act of the show, they had various sketches about a road trip involving birds taking over the car, a "food studies" class, a dog track skit, another skit featuring them flying a blimp, and a closing skit that tied back into the original theme and revealing the "true" identity of Dean Bailey.

The second half began with UCB asking for a student volunteer from the audience who "represents the typical Hendrix student." None other than famed legend Andrew Vogler was selected and came up to the stage for an interview.
