"Seven jeans, True Religion…" You all know the song. But you might not know that both of these brands can be found at EM Jeans in Conway. Although, don't let the name fool you. While its selection of jeans is quite impressive, EM has plenty more to offer. This hidden treasure has just as many cute tops and accessories as it does Silver or Seven jeans. Packed into the quirky little boutique are all the things a student needs to create a killer wardrobe. EM Jeans offers various styles for both men and women.
Larry Rogers, who was head cross-country and track coach at Hendrix from 1999-2004, is president of Express Male, Inc., which operates EM Jeans. The slogan of the store is "People with Attitude in Clothing with Latitude," demonstrating just how unique the store is to Conway. EM's selection of various designer jeans is hardly rivaled by any other store in Conway. The store offers a wide variety of styles, with brands such as Citizens of Humanity, Miss Sixty and Mavi, and searching for the perfect pair is easy thanks to the store's great organization.
Finding an affordable, yet stylish top to accompany that perfect pair of jeans is guaranteed at EM Jeans. The hardest part will be deciding on which one to buy. However, at an event in downtown Conway last Thursday a plan to bring back life to a corner of town that burned to the ground three years ago was announced. Several businesses were lost in a huge blaze that left a main downtown intersection empty. With live models, a flashy light show, and pumping music, EM Jeans announced the plan to relocate its store to the corner of Oak and Chestnut, where the fire was. With the assistance of the Conway Downtown Partnership, EM Jeans will build a $1.2 million facility. The new EM Jeans should open around Thanksgiving this year.
