Last weekend during the 38th Annual Hendrix Classic junior Britney McCarthy qualified for the NCAA national championship in diving on both the one-meter and three-meter board. Her scores of 254.7 on the one-meter and 266.6 on the three-meter are also new records for the Bob Courtway Pool. This isn't a guarantee to get into nationals, though. Every qualifier sends a tape of their best dives at a single meet to be re-scored by the national judges. The top 22 qualifiers will then be invited to the University of Minnesota, where the national championships will be held this March. At last years nationals McCarthy took seventh and eighth on the one and three meter boards, respectively.
Coming in second in both events was Hendrix senior Jill Greshowak with a score of 224.35 on the one-meter and 231.2 on the three-meter. The Warrior's only male diver, Sophomore Greg Potter, also had an excellent showing. He took first place on the 3-meter board and second place on the 1-meter.
