The volleyball team celebrated a complete sweep over Williams Baptist College on October 15 (30-25, 30-22, 30-26). "We were real pleased," said Coach Mary Anne Schlientz. "We were able to execute new plays, our offense was much quicker, and we had much more control on our passes." Freshmen Lauren Standlee and M. C. Fergusen had 17 and 18 kills, respectively. Senior Danielle Baker had five kills and 25 assists. "Danielle leads us in so many categories," Schlientz said. "She is leading the conference in service aces…she is just an excellent example of senior leadership."

On October 19 and 20, the team competed in a SCAC Divisional at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. The Warriors lost all four games. The team played Southwestern University (17-30, 11-30, 22-30), Millsaps College (21-30, 19-30, 20-30), Rhodes College (18-30, 18-30, 19-30), and Trinity University (18-30, 17-30, 27-34, 31-29). Ferguson contributed 21 kills. Baker tallied 49 assists and eight kills. Junior Taylor Poling had a total of 13 digs.

These matches brought the Warrior's overall record to 9-20. Their record in conference play is 1-12. The team currently stands at number nine in the SCAC. Trinity University is leading the SCAC with a record of 13-0 and 25-4 in conference play.

The volleyball team has eight games left. They will travel to McKenzie, Tennessee to play Rust College and Bethel College on October 29. The next home game is on Halloween, October 31, at 6 p.m. The Warriors will be playing Lyon College. "This is definitely the game that the students will want to turn out for. We will be playing up our school colors," Schlientz said. The game will feature door prizes and Halloween games.
