Its record certainly is not indicative of the numerous close games it has played, only losing by more than one goal three times this season and also suffering two overtime losses. Both the men's and women's teams will head to Texas this weekend to take on Southwestern University and Trinity University.
While the men's and women's cross-country teams have only had two matches so far, there is plenty of optimism for the season to come, with quality performances so far.
"Our schedule is very back-ended," said head coach Patrick MacDonald. "But this means our legs will be fresh late in the year. What I can quantify is that we've got a great group and so far a pretty good mojo. It should be a fun October and November."
Both teams took fourth place at the Arkansas Tech twilight meet, while the men took second at the Hendrix College Orange Crush and the women were fourth. They face a key meet this weekend when they head to Memphis for the Twilight Classic
The women's volleyball team has meanwhile put together a fine season, currently standing at an even .500 with a 9-9 (1-6 SCAC) record, including a five-match winning streak earlier this season. The team will have a good chance to improve on its already-solid record this weekend when it plays four SCAC Divisional games in Memphis.
The men's golf team has only had one match so far, and both the men's and women's team will play at the UT-Tyler invitational this weekend.
The inaugural lacrosse team, Arkansas' only NCAA-sanctioned team, will host a round-robin exhibition this Sunday on Warrior Field, behind the Wellness and Athletic Center. The team will be playing club teams from Harding University at 5 p.m. and the University of Arkansas at 7 p.m.

Women team showed amazing performance that time. I was really amazed the way team emerged inspite of the previous failure. If you are mentally strong, you can win any game
