Famous Faces Grace Campus

Already this year, the Hendrix campus has seen some very famous faces. Thanks to efforts from different groups, including the Multicultural and International Student Services and the Hendrix-Murphy Foundation, prominent figures in both history and the arts have addressed Hendrix students and faculty regarding their unique and important experiences.

Construction Around Campus

Two building projects have been in development on campus. The first, the Wellness and Athletic Center, affectionately referred to as the WAC, was completed last month and opened for the Hendrix community. The multimillion dollar project broke ground last year, and is one of the many planned expansions of the Academic Village.

It is finally here. The highly anticipated Profile is finally here, kind of. While you have yet to see the Profile in all its printed, delicious glory, it will be here soon.

After running in to a few managerial and staffing issues, we're finally up and running, fret not.

Bizarreness from Abroad

I will be the first to admit I have unattractive feet. Deformed toes, a surfeit of hair, toenails that only get cut when they begin to scrape the ground� I fully sympathize with anyone repulsed by them. Yet nothing could have prepared me for the international uproar I caused on a Friday afternoon in Tallinn.

Can a town held by Hendrix students to be only a slight step above a fast food detour ever become, in the words of Hendrix provost Dr. Robert Entzminger, "vibrant and creative"? If nothing else, things are definitely looking up for the humble, prohibitionist settlement our school calls home.

Sports Start Up

We are already a few weeks into fall, and many of Hendrix's fall sports teams are well into successful seasons in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). Most notably is the women's soccer team, which right now has the best record of all Hendrix teams, as it currently stands at 6-2-2 (2-2 SCAC).
